Awkwafina

Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with humorous rap tracks dealing with issues related to sexual and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood following the release of a series of raps. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical encounter. She was a trumpet player. Later, she began traditional and hip-hop training. When she was in college, she concentrated on her studies and took up a degree in women's studies as well as journalism. For a brief period of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. After graduating, she began to focus on music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. This album also featured viral hits such as the body-positive Queef or winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The track that was the last one to be closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide which was published in 2015. Alongside being a published author, her other career was as a performer. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors and Storks. In 2018, she landed a series of notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
